Chatting Books Online Year 2, Day 136. The Week in Review July 26 - 31 , 2021.

Thanks for joining us again this week as we sent out new book recommendations out to you.

This week I started by recommending a new book about The Hidden History of Natchez (spoiler alert: I am in communication with the authors to come do a discussion and signing at the shop soon), and I let my dog lady pick a book - she went for Fox in Socks by Dr Seuss.

After that , realizing we were nearing the 500 day mark (365 days in year 1 plus the now 136 days of year 2 made yesterday officially day 500!) I decided it was a good time to look back at some of our favorites from the early days of Chatting Books Online so this week we revisited : The Princess Bride; The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse; A Confederacy of Dunces, and The Nuff. All of those just as heartily recommended today as 500 days ago. I think we will continue this trip down memory lane a bit into next week. I wonder if your favorites will make the list !

If you missed any of these reviews and want to read what I had to say about them you can see all of our Chatting Books Online picks by visiting our website at: http://www.conundrumbooks.com/chatting-books-online .

We still (and always will going forward) offer shipping if you cannot make it to the store. Or just stop by the shop during or normal hours . See you soon !

We offer this anniversary addition in both hardcover and the paperback you will see linked at the bottom of the post where you can also read more about the book .

Year 2, Day 131 : Fox in Socks

Chatting Books Online Year 2, Day 131. Today’s featured book is: Fox in Socks, Dr. Seuss's book of Tongue Tanglers.

I did not choose today's featured book, my dog Lady did. We were at the shop yesterday (yes, we occasionally work on Mondays) and twice when people came into the store Lady immediately picked up a copy of this book and ran around the store eventually dropping it for one of our guests when they helped me try to get it away from her. It must be a favorite of hers. It makes sense really , Foxes are red doglike creatures, Lady is a red dog. Lady has a favorite toy she carries around the bookstore, it is a small stuffed fox. And we both like silly rhymes , so there you go , no wonder Lady likes it We think you will as well.

Fox in Socks, Our game is done, sir.

Thank you for a lot of fun, sir.

We currently sell this in a small board book for $4.99 a copy.
